Questions matter more than answers

From time to time we need to be idle. So that the alchemy of our thoughts, ideas, feelings, images, mingle, fuse, and turn into something more, something else. The expression 'creative boredom' is a loose translation of a far more beautiful and meaningful expression by poet Heather Dohollau who coined the expression in a documentary about her life : l'ennui positif. A positively charged boredom. She was referring Sunday afternoons, in the summer, spent at her grandparents, when she was a kid. Right there you have it. Sunday afternoon, away from home, at your grandparents, in the country. You have the day to yourself to wander, and daydream, and that is how beauty emerges.
